Classroom Friendly Supplies

Cool Blue

Troy Decoff over at Classroom Friendly Supplies is hosting a giveaway and I would LOVE to get one of these babies for my own classroom.  I am totally fed up with the sharpener I have in my own classroom.  This is the FOURTH sharpener I've had in the 7 years I've been in this room.  I JUST bought my current (for $25 from an office supply store that will remain nameless) and it is a piece of JUNK!
I have put in a purchase for my own and if I win this giveaway, I'll share it with my partner teacher.  The prices are so incredible, I may have to get my school to invest in the large package price for the whole school!

    2. Hi Stacy,

I saw you stopped by and commented. I am sorry it has taken me so long to respond, it has been a crazy week! The product linky party was a small group of us who exchanged products, and used the product in the classroom. You could do this at any time, with any blogger who has a product you are interested in. I know there are a few linkys like this that run every few months. This was the first time we tried it out among some friends. =) I'll let you know if I see any others out there!

  3. Congrats! Mel sent me here. I look forward to following, as I am new to second grade and need all the help I can get! Haha. You will love this pencil sharpener - I bought one and it is great! It is quiet. It is a little messy though, so put a mouse pad under it. I have a rotation schedule for my students. 5-6 students are given a day of the week to sharpen their pencils in the morning. They must last a whole week, so they have 3-4 pencils. If they don't get the job done before the bell rings, they trade their unsharpened pencils for sharpened ones. This system has streamlined the mornings and each student always has a sharpened pencil. No more hopping up and down disturbing the class. Just thought I'd share what works for me!

  4. Welcome to second grade and thank you, Linda! My sharpener hasn't come in yet, but that sounds likd a very efficient way to keep sharp pencils around.

  6. Thanks, Sue! I got mine last week and it has been AWESOME! It's amazing how it changes the mood in the room when everyone has a sharp pencil and getting one sharpened doesn't give you a stroke!

I like the sound of your blog. I LOVE doing science with my kiddos. I'm heading over there to check it out!
